How I teach Norwegian
Erlend’s Way2Norway method: real dialogues, culture, weekly videos, daily worksheets, and podcasts from A1 to B2.
I teach Norwegian as a living language. That means prioritising comprehensible input — speech you can largely understand with support — over memorising isolated rules. In Way2Norway you meet real dialogues: people talking about trains, prices, faces, habits, and the small cultural details that textbooks often skip. Dual subtitles keep meaning available while your ear catches rhythm and reduction.
The weekly cadence is deliberate. A new video lesson gives you a story to return to. Daily worksheets stop the “I watched something once” trap. Podcasts with transcripts stretch listening without leaving you stranded. Together they create a loop: notice language in context, practise it briefly, and meet it again in a new clip. You can start free at https://app.way2norway.com/register and feel the method before you pay.
Who this method fits
Adult learners who like media-based study, expats building everyday comprehension, and intermediates who are tired of dry drills. It fits less well if you only want live booked tutoring hours or a pure exam bootcamp. Read learn Norwegian online for the product overview, or listening practice for the ear-training routine.
